Courtney Campbell, DVM Surgical Resident
Raised among the saplings in the heavily wooded forests of Connecticut, Courtney Campbell graduated from a modestly small high school in Burlington, CT. In Connecticut, he developed a bona fide interest in nature and mammals. He then transmuted those interests into a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine from the University of Delaware. His educational journey brought him to the southeastern United States where he earned his D.V.M. Degree from Tuskegee University in Alabama. After graduation, Courtney worked as a general practitioner at the Connecticut Veterinary Center in West Hartford, CT. Courtney received advanced surgical training with a rotating internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida as well as a surgical internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Referral Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Courtney moved to Los Angeles and continued pursuing his surgical interests with a surgical internship at Animal Surgical Emergency Center.
Courtney is deeply interested in being proficient in the newest surgical techniques and their clinical applications. He is also very interested in the pathophysiology of inflammatory gastrointestinal disease. In his spare time, he enjoys studying surgery, learning new languages, and understanding the geopolitical aspects of economics.
